Overview

Education enlightens the mind, shapes thinking, and enables people to contribute to their own success and the betterment of society. Everyone has the right to seek knowledge — from the cradle to the grave.

The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said: “Acquire knowledge and impart it to others.” (Sunan al-Tirmidhi)

To promote education and empower individuals through learning, TARS Foundation runs the following free education and skills development programs:

1. Education Support for Deserving Children
2. Free Slum School
3. Free Tailoring Course for Drug Addicts

1. Education Support for Deserving Children

Under this program, TARS Foundation fully sponsors the education of underprivileged, needy, and orphaned children from nursery through class ten. The support not only covers monthly school fees but also essential expenses such as school uniforms, books, stationery, and transportation where applicable.

The program benefits children enrolled in TARS Foundation’s monthly sponsorship program as well as other deserving orphan or underprivileged children who may not yet be part of the program. These students attend reputable schools in their communities, and TARS Foundation ensures their educational needs are fully met so they can continue learning without any financial barriers.

Through this initiative, TARS Foundation strives to foster an educated and empowered society, ensuring every child has access to the invaluable gift of education.

2. Free Slum School

For several years, TARS Foundation has been providing free meals to children in a slum area of Peshawar. Building on this initiative, the foundation established a “Slum School” in the same community, offering free primary education to children from the area.

In daily 2–3 hour classes, students receive not only formal education but also lessons in manners, ethics, and general and religious knowledge. The goal is to nurture responsible and capable individuals who can contribute positively to their families and society while working toward the betterment of their communities and the country.
